This tour begins at Sheung Wan, specifically at Possession Point, where the British proclaimed Hong Kong to be part of their empire. It finishes at the Tamar Government Complex in Admiralty, once a dockyard of the Royal British Navy and now the headquarters of China’s Hong Kong Special Administrative Regional Government.
While this 3.5-hour tour is about the history of Hong Kong, we will also talk about what’s going on now for and where it is heading to in the future. You’re sure to finish this tour with a unique insight and understanding of Hong Kong that will enhance the rest of your stay here.

Danny, thank you for an eye opening walk through Hong Kong. Being there for the first time, I was a blank canvas. By the end of the tour, I had an image of how the Island started, where it is now and where it might be in the future. Your dry humor, insight and love of history made our time very educational and memorable.
A special thanks for giving us your personal time over lunch. It was the best dim sum I had n Hong Kong!

I was fortunate enough to have taken two Urban Adventure tours while in Hong Kong. Each leader was knowledgable and enthusiastic. It was apparent they knew their subject well and had put in a great amount of time and energy in preparation.
They made Hong Kong come alive. Their stories allowed me to explore the people and culture and in the end I found my understanding of Hong Kong had increased greatly. They answered each question with enthusiasm and it was apparent they loved their home.

I did the Story of Hong Kong tour with Danny and enjoyed it so much – we went off the beaten path a little and thus got to see heaps and heaps of interesting sites that we would have completely missed otherwise. Breaks were really well timed and Danny answered all the questions we had and more. I would definitely do another tour and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this to anyone in Hong Kong, old or new!
